Today, The Main Squeeze dropped a brand-new in-studio video of a cover of the Allman Brothers Band’s iconic “Whipping Post”. Frontman and vocalist Corey Frye stands front-and-center leading the genre-bending, funk-inspired group through the tune’s famously powerful vocals. Max Newman’s blistering guitar weaves in and out of the song as a precise foundation laid out by keyboardist Ben “Smiley” Silverstein, bass Rob Walker, and drummer Reuben Gingrich highlights the group’s rock-solid rhythm section.

Filmed at the Esplanade Studios in New Orleans, the video marks the last installation in the five-piece band’s NOLA Cover Series, Part 2, which also features the group’s renditions of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” and Michael Jackson’s “Man In The Mirror”. In 2013, when they released their initial New Orleans Cover Series, the Midwest funk act put out four in-studio videos, including covers of  Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come”, The Temptations’ “Papa Was A Rolling Stone”, The Grateful Dead’s “Eyes Of The World”, and Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire”.
