The Saturday night Electric Beach Party at Santo’s Party House is known to bring some of the best up and coming producers in the world straight to New York City before they hit the big time. This week, exciting young Israeli producer Maor Levi takes over the booth for a night full of deep trance  and banging beats. Any producer who gets the co-sign from Above and Beyond is sure to make waves, so make sure you don’t miss out on Maor Levi’s first New York City appearance.

After growing up on popular Israeli psy-trance acts like Infected Mushroom, Levi heard Tiesto’s ‘In Search Of Sunrise’ mix at a young age and immediately became hooked onto more progressive trance. A musical prodigy, he began producing his own tracks at age 11, finally releasing some official tracks in 2007. He was quickly noticed by global superstars Above and Beyond, who signed him to their Anjunabeats label, which has been the home to Levi’s latest releases since then.

Three mandatory years in the Israeli Defense Force pushed back the release of his debut album, but Levi still found time to produce trance, house, and techno tracks under a variety of aliases, which have each gained a degree of underground recognition, including 123XYZ, Pillow One, and Maori. His latest tracks lean towards the more mainstream, commercial trance music, with a progressive flair and an underground background.
