On Saturday night, a supergroup comprised of Marc RebilletDJ Premier, and Brady Watt tore up the stage at SummerStage in Central Park with a unique and humorous dance party for a fully-vaccinated crowd.

This supergroup brings together three innovative producers from around the country. “Loop Daddy” Marc Rebillet gave new meaning to the term “bedroom producer” when he turned the camera on himself, improvising humorous songs made in his NYC apartment with a loop station, keyboard, vocals and percussion instruments, live-streamed on YouTube. Bass genius Brady Watt carved out a niche as one of the most recorded session players over the last decade or so, but he too came into his own on YouTube with his series Bass & Bars, in which he plays bass alongside rappers such as Warren G, Murs, Krayzie Bone, and Pharoahe Monch. That pair was joined by their sonic predecessor in Gang Starr’s DJ Premier, the legendary DJ, producer, and MPC wizard whose gifts for manipulating samples allowed him to craft a distinct sound and style recognizable the world over.

The wild dance party brought the widespread online fanbases of these high-intensity performers from social media to real life, making for an unforgettable night of outlandish revelry. Rebillet donned his signature underwear and robe, and writhed around the stage as he crafted his loops and showered the front row with a champagne squirt gun. Watt wore a robe, too, as did many a fan in the audience, but Preemo kept it classic with his black t-shirt and fitted hat.

At one point, in response to a request from a fan’s sign in the front row “Loop daddy can we make a song?”, Rebillet granted the robed young fan’s wish and welcomed him up onstage to join in.
