Marco Benevento has added five additional tour dates to his calendar, set to take place in the first half of 2022. His normal backing band of bassist Karina Rykman and drummer Dave Butler will join the Woodstock, NY native during the string of shows.
The five-show tour will begin on February 25th at Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA. The very next night, Benevento, Rykman, and Butler will head to Washington, D.C. for a show at Union Stage. Following a month-long break in March, the group will head to the Northeast for three shows over as many nights. First, Benevento and company will perform at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA on April 7th, ahead of shows at Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground (4/8) and Fairfield, CT’s Stage One (4/9).
The lively frontman—who also plays keys for Joe Russo’s Almost Dead—has maintained a scarce schedule since touring resumed following the pandemic. These newly-announced performances add to a stretch of only five shows Benevento has planned for the rest of the year. On November 11th, 12th, and 13th he will host three sold-out nights at Portsmouth, NH’s The Press Room, before a stop at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY on the 27th.
Then, on December 11th, Benevento will perform at North Beach Music Festival in Miami, FL. Here he will have his own headlining performance as well as a spot in the Spafford & Friends set, alongside guitarists Eric Krasno and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, keyboardist Alric “A.C.” Carter (TAUK), and percussionist Nate Werth (Snarky Puppy, Ghost-Note).
Tickets for all of the recently-announced shows go on sale this Friday, November 12th, at 10:00 a.m. ET. Head here for tickets and more information and scroll down for a complete list of 2021–2022 tour dates.
