The Marcus King Band has announced that they will support Gary Clark Jr. at his upcoming performance at Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre in Charlotte, NC on Tuesday, August 20th.
The newly added show comes as both Gary Clark Jr. and The Marcus King Band continue their respective summer tours. It was also announced last week that Gary Clark Jr. will be one of the acts opening for The Rolling Stones on their upcoming U.S. tour.
Marcus King and Gary Clark Jr. have notably shared the stage before. In April at Bluesfest Byron Bay in Australia, Clark welcomed by King and Lukas Nelson to the stage during his set to assist on a rendition of “Don’t Owe You A Thang” (you can watch a clip of the collab here).
With these two red-hot guitarists both on hand for the performance, here’s hoping we get some collaborative fireworks in North Carolina.
