Margo Price will celebrate the release of her new album, That’s How Rumors Get Started, this week by briefly changing careers. On July 10th, the acclaimed singer-songwriter will spend the day delivering food and copies of her new records to the doorsteps of Nashville residents with her “Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner” service.

That’s How Rumors Get Started marks Price’s third studio effort, coming four years after the release of her debut album, Midwest Farmer’s Daughter. The new album, produced by Sturgill Simpson, was originally set for release on May 8th, but was pushed back due to COVID-19.

The “Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner” service from Margo Price, taken from the lyrics to “Twinkle Twinkle” on the new album, will see the rising Americana singer delivering food from some of her favorite Nashville haunts. Running from breakfast to dinner, fans can receive meals from a specialized menu featuring selections from Mas Tacos Por Favor, Babo Korean Bar, and Cafe Roze, along with copies of That’s How Rumors Get Started from Grimey’s New and Preloved Music.

For breakfast, there are the “Twinkle Twinkle Tacos” from Mas Tacos Por Favor, featuring scrambled eggs, fresh avocado, pico de gallo, and crema y cilantro. Then, for lunch, there is the “Hey Babe Bento Box” from Babo Korean bar, consisting of Korean fried chicken tenders, fried rice, and kimchi accompaniments. Lastly, things are topped off with the “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” from Cafe Roze, featuring chili honey BBQ chicken, molasses heirloom baked beans, and tangy collard greens.

After dinner, Spotify will present Margo Price: Live from Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge on the platform’s latest country music playlist, Indigo. The full-band, audience-free performance will feature Price and company onstage at her favorite dive bar starting at 8 p.m. ET. Following the show, Price will host an after party on the new episode of her internet radio show, Runaway Horses.
