Over the last quarter-century, Mariah Carey has steadily established herself as America’s unofficial “Queen of Christmas.” The veteran singer is known around the world thanks to her catalog of pop hits, but it’s her 1994 holiday anthem “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, that makes her a household name every year beginning in late-November.

Now, 25 years after the initial release of the now-beloved Christmas song, Carey has debuted another music video for “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, which she debuted late Thursday night as fans head into the weekend and holiday break.

The video, which is the third official release for the 1994 hit single, was directed by Joseph Kahn and takes viewers into a winter wonderland through the eyes of a young girl, who stumbles upon Carey while window shopping as the song begins. The young girl is quickly brought into Carey’s magical world where the singer, her team of Christmas backup dancers, dancing bears, and ice-skating Santas all exist to bring the song to life.

Carey and her song made headlines earlier this week when Billboard announced the song had reached No. 1 on its “Hot 100” pop singles chart for the first time ever, 25 years after its initial release in fall 1994. Add that together with an epic new video mashup combining Carey’s Christmas classic with Marilyn Manson‘s “The Beautiful People”, and fans have themselves quite the YouTube queue to keep themselves busy over the holiday break.
