Marilyn Manson has released his 11th studio album, WE ARE CHAOS, via Loma Vista Recordings. WE ARE CHAOS follows his 2017 album, Heaven Upside Down.

The shock-rocker initially announced the album back in July when he released the title track, “WE ARE CHAOS” and accompanying music video, directed by Matt Mahurin. One day before the album’s release, on September 10th, Manson then shared the second single, “DON’T CHASE THE DEAD”.

The full, Shooter Jennings-produced, album arrives with CAPS LOCK activated for each song. Throughout the 10-track LP, Manson toys with a variety of genres that have defined his career, including glam rock, new wave, goth, and metal. While some tracks, like “Infinite Darkness” and “Perfume” highlight his penchant for heavy rock, others like “BROKEN NEEDLE” and “PAINT YOU WITH MY LOVE” show a lighter, more melodic side to the artist.

“When I listen to WE ARE CHAOS now, it seems like just yesterday or as if the world repeated itself, as it always does, making the title track and the stories seem as if we wrote them today,” said Manson in a statement, according to Billboard.

As far as Manson’s touring schedule is concerned, the rocker was set to join Ozzy Osbourne on his North American leg of the No More Tours 2 tour, however, Osbourne’s declining health and Parkinson’s diagnosis, along with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, prevented those shows from taking place as scheduled. As of now, Manson is scheduled to perform at Slipknot‘s Knotfest in Japan. Head to his website for the latest album and tour information.
