There’s nothing quite like Jazz Fest after hours. From once-in-a-lifetime collaborations to special themed nights and tributes, the late night scene in New Orleans is a gumbo of musical adventure around every corner. On Sunday, May 1st, the festivities will culminate with a Michael Jackson vs. Stevie Wonder throwdown at the Howlin Wolf featuring Nigel Hall, Eric “Benny” Bloom (Lettuce), Cory Henry (Snarky Puppy), Adam Deitch (Lettuce), Wil Blades, and Adam Smirnoff (Lettuce) presented by Live for Live Music. The influence that Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder’s music has had on just about every musician across the board is undeniable. These legendary artists set the cornerstone for the future of pop and funk music. The opportunity to see some of our favorite artists pay homage to their musical heroes is truly special.

From Nigel’s powerful pipes to Cory Henry’s incomparable keyboard playing, this all-star lineup is sure to be a highlight of Jazz Fest. Take a look at a video recap from last year’s wildly successful MJ vs. Stevie show in NYC, and see why this is a can’t-miss event!

Zigaboo Modeliste of The Meters will get things started with the 18th Annual Zigaboo’s Funk Revue.
