Metallica has shared pro-shot footage from the band’s recent Helping Hands charity concert, including a cover of “Borderline” by Thin Lizzy and the live debut of recent single “Lux Æterna”. All funds raised from the event, which took place at L.A.’s Microsoft Theater on December 16th, went to the band’s own charity, All Within My Hands, which supports workforce education, the fight against hunger, and other local services. The concert was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and is available to stream via Paramount+.

The show featured two unique sets from Metallica, starting with a five-song acoustic set featuring San Francisco artist Avi Vinocur on guitar, mandolin, and backup vocals. The acoustic set included “Blackened”, “The Unforgiven” and “Whiskey In A Jar” as well as covers of Thin Lizzy‘s “Borderline” and UFO‘s “It’s Killing Me”.

Metallica also welcomed special guest St. Vincent to join the band for a performance of “Nothing Else Matters”.
