Widespread Panic has announced the first-ever vinyl release of Door Harp, a beloved instrumental album by late founding guitarist Michael Houser.
Due out August 9th, the album features 14 delicate compositions recorded by Houser with John Keane and friends before he passed away in 2002.
“These are the songs … he wrote as he sat on the sofa … hands wandering the strings, his mind never quiet,” said Michael’s widow, Barbette Houser.
The double LP includes all 14 original tracks as well as an etching of Houser and his cat Socks on Side D. According to the announcement, “This is a very limited pressing.” Pre-order Door Harp by Michael Houser on vinyl here.
