Miley Cyrus was the featured performer on the latest Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, where the pop singer delivered a three-song performance that included an intense cover of Mazzy Star‘s 1993 indie ballad, “Fade Into You”.

Cyrus opened her performance backed by a recorded track from inside a tiny room (ha, ha) with a cover of the dreamy Mazzy Star ballad, though Miley’s rendition had noticeably more energy and intensity than the original. From there, Cyrus continued with a performance of “Golden G-String” and “Prisoner”, two new-ish originals that appeared on the singer’s 2020 Golden Hearts studio album.

Cyrus was one of the many artists who took part in the Save Our Stages Fest virtual fundraiser in October, which raised over $1.8 million to benefit NIVA‘s Emergency Relief Fund. Cyrus also recently revealed she’s been working on some kind of Metallica covers album alongside some pretty famous names including Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, and Chad Smith.
