moe. has opted to cancel a number of December concerts as guitarist Chuck Garvey continues to recover from a stroke he suffered earlier this month. The band will still perform its two-night run at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on December 10th and 11th as planned.

The shows affected include an appearance at the Holidaze destination event hosted by The Disco Biscuits and Umphrey’s McGee in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. moe. was due to perform two sets at the festival on December 4th. The band will also miss its show at Brooklyn Bowl (12/9) and a New Year’s run at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas (12/30, 12/31).

As moe. said of the remaining Capitol Theatre shows in a social media post, “This venue means a lot to us all and feels like the right place for us to play at this time. We plan to have some special guests join us throughout the night and hope you can join us.”

moe. indicated that more details will emerge regarding special merchandise, fundraising, and more to benefit Chuck on his road to recovery. Fans can contribute to a GoFundMe set up to help pay for his medical expenses and physical rehabilitation.

“Thank you for your continued positive vibes, thoughts and prayers,” the band wrote. “They help Chuck get stronger each day.”
