As moe. fans continue sending positive energy to guitarist Chuck Garvey while he recovers from a stroke, noted moe.ron, elected mayor of moe.down, and lauded videographer RexAVision opened his vaults on Wednesday for an archival video of “Chromatic Nightmare” > “Lazarus” from Summer Camp Music Festival in 2017. The video comes from moe.’s final set of the weekend, occurring on May 28th, 2017.

Taken from 2012’s What Happened to the La La’s, “Chromatic Nightmare” opens with the syncopated vibraphone of Jim Loughlin. The percussionist carries the instrumental track, as the rest of the band falls in behind the rollicking rhythm. Meanwhile, Loughlin’s movements of surgeon-like precision are broadcast onto the barn roof of Three Sisters Park‘s Moonshine Stage.

Sparks truly began to fly, however, as guitarists Al Schnier and Chuck sound off with the harmonics of “Lazarus”. The band’s all-white stage uniforms fully allow the “30,000 lights up in the sky” to shine even brighter, as Beelzebub himself—Chuck Garvey—lays waste to the biblical allegory.
