moe. will release its first studio album in five years next month, and that’s cause for celebration. The Buffalo-bred jam band will celebrate the release of Circle of Giants a little early with an intimate two-night run at the 250-person capacity Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY on January 17th and 18th ahead of the album’s official release on January 31st.
A pre-sale is currently underway for the moe. Circle of Giants album release party in Woodstock, accessible with the password “CHEERS35YRS”. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Wednesday, December 4th at 10 a.m. ET. The band will offer VIP packages for night two, including a pre-show set and Q&A, early entry, first dibs at the merch table, a VIP laminate, and an exclusive piece of merch. Visit moe.’s website for tickets and tour dates.
Circle of Giants marks moe.’s first studio release since 2020’s This is Not, We Are and the band’s 14th overall. A lot has changed since 2020 and moe. has experienced its share of “Ups and Downs“—the title of the album’s lead single. After emerging from the pandemic, moe. suffered a major blow when founding guitarist Chuck Garvey had a stroke that kept him offstage for over a year as he relearned to walk, talk, and play guitar. During that time, keyboardist Nate Wilson joined the band and has since become a full-time member. He will make his studio debut with the band on Circle of Giants and contributed the originals “Yellow Tigers” and “Giants”. Then, some seven years after beating cancer, bassist Rob Derhak endured the devastating loss of his son earlier this year. As moe. prepares to celebrate its 35th anniversary as a band next year, Circle of Giants will serve as a testament to the group’s fortitude to play through dizzying highs and crushing losses decade after decade.
Following the Bearsville Theater run, moe. will kick off a 2025 winter tour with two nights in Portland, OR on January 30th and 31st. The band has dates scheduled throughout the western United States into mid-February. Find tickets and tour dates here.
