Last fall, in the midst of a drive-in tour, moe. stopped by Telefunken Soundstage in Connecticut to play around with some of the studio’s toys. On Thursday, the Buffalo-bred jam mainstays debuted footage from the session as a webcast. For those who weren’t able to tune in, moe. has since released full-show audio of the two-hour session as Live From Telefunken Soundstage on streaming platforms.

This new live album comes at a time of prolonged silence from moe., as the band hasn’t performed before a live audience since November 7th, 2020. Since then the band has attempted to satiate fans with a trickle of streams recorded at The Palace Theatre in Albany, NY. Now the band has given eager moe.rons more content to hold them over until moe. is soon back on the road for another run of drive-in and pod concerts beginning in spring.

The two-hour Telefunken session is full of lengthy improvisation, with the first five songs occupying nearly 70 minutes of the total runtime. Interspersing cuts from the band’s latest EP Not Normal like “ATL”, “Screaming and Kicking”, and “Prestige Worldwide” alongside time-tested classics like “Lazarus”, “Meat”, “Buster”, and the massive, show-closing “Rebubula”, moe. offers a quick crash course on what the band has been up to lately.
