MonoNeon and singer Ledisi have had it with the bullsh*t.

That would be the lyrical theme of the latest single from the colorfully-dressed funk bassist, who has teamed up with the R&B/jazz singer Ledisi (real name Ledisi Young) for his latest recording, which is appropriately titled “Done With The B-S”.

Released earlier this week, “Done With The B-S” hears MonoNeon and Ledisi teaming up and sharing singing duties on the funky song, which also features drumming, production, and keys recorded by Davy Nathan.

Throughout the song’s brief, three-minute runtime, the two belt out all-too-relatable feelings with the repeating chorus lines, “Even though I love you, it’s time for a change / Move on to better things, maybe I don’t need you / I’m done with the bullshit, yeah yeah, Ain’t gonna happen again / I don’t even want to be your friend, so don’t pretend that you want me.”

The single follows the surprise arrival of MonoNeon’s Banana Peel on Capitol Hill album released last month and is available to purchase on his Bandcamp page.
