Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil suffered broken ribs after falling offstage during a set at the Monsters On The Mountain festival in Pigeon Forge, TN. The singer was rushed to an area hospital as his bandmates played on without him.
The fall came just as the band began “Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)”. In footage of the incident shared by Blabbermouth, Neil, who was convicted of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol in 1985 for the death of Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley, is seen walking toward the edge of the stage, encouraging the audience to clap along. Neil then abruptly falls and the video cuts off.
Soon after the fall, Neil was taken to an area hospital where an X-ray confirmed his broken ribs, Crüe bassist Dana Strum told the Monsters On The Mountain crowd.

“The truth is Vince fell and broke ribs when he fell. He can’t breathe and he’s gonna get dealt with medically,” Strum said. “He was so excited to be here. He lives in Tennessee. But he was willing to stick it out and tough it out when the people back here were telling him ‘Don’t do it.’ Let’s have one good round of applause, please, for this guy.”
