For years, the month of March belonged to The Allman Brothers Band and the outfit’s annual residencies at The Beacon Theatre in New York. While The Allman Brothers Band officially dissolved following the 2014 Beacon residency, Munck Music Radio is honoring that legacy this year by broadcasting a different Allman Brothers Beacon show each day throughout the month of March. The daily shows will air on Munck Music Radio each day at 7:00 a.m. ET, 1:00 p.m. ET, and 7:00 p.m. ET. Tune in here.
In honor of its “March Beacon Madness” series, Munck Music will also run a 15%-off discount on all of the inventory in its web store. Check out the catalog of available live music recordings here.
The series kicked off on Monday, March 1st with a recording of the Allmans’ March 1st, 2013 show at the Beacon. Today, Tuesday, March 2nd, 3/2/13 is on the docket. Follow Munck Music on Facebook for more details and upcoming show selections and tune in to the daily Beacon selection on Munck Music Radio.
Speaking of live Allman Brothers recordings, the band recently announced the coming release of Down In Texas ’71, a new live album featuring nine tracks pulled from the ABB’s show from September 28th, 1971 at Austin Municipal Auditorium.
