On Friday night, My Morning Jacket continued their brief run of 2019 shows with a performance at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. As advertised, the show saw My Morning Jacket perform their 1999 debut album, The Tennessee Fire, in its entirety in honor of its 20th anniversary.
Following the full-set run through The Tennessee Fire, the band returned for their encore with a sing-along cover of Elton John classic, “Rocket Man”. Next, they served up yet another surprise with the first live rendition of their own “Weeks Go By Like Days” since 2010. The excitement continued to build as My Morning Jacket moved into a rendition of Erykah Badu favorite, “Tyrone”. Finally, the band closed the four-song encore with an appropriately festive rendition of “Tonight I Want To Celebrate With You”.
