My Morning Jacket returned to their stage after a year off, hosting their own tropical One Big Holiday destination concert event in Mexico. The second annual One Big Holiday included a monster performance from MMJ, who debuted a number of songs, including several covers and one new original, “Big D.”
The debut covers included: Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You”, Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m on Fire,” The Cars’ “Drive,” Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game,” and Christopher Cross’ “Ride Like the Wind.” They also brought of numerous guests throughout the show, including The War on Drugs’ Adam Granduciel, Sylvan Esso’s Amelia Meath, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s Clint Maedgen.
