Two weeks ago, on the heels of releasing their new double album, Let It Wander, Circles Around The Sun cancelled their 5-date Northeast tour due to an “urgent health matter”. Now, the question of who’s health was in question and why Circles Around The Sun had to cancel their tour seems to have been answered.

In a post on their social media accounts, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood announced the guitarist Neal Casal, who also leads CATS, would miss a handful of upcoming Chris Robinson Brotherhood shows. Greg Loiacono, who plays with Chris Robinson’s all-star side project, Green Leaf Rustlers, as well as The Mother Hips, is slated to fill Casal’s void until he returns. Details regarding Casal’s health concerns and return to the stage have not yet been confirmed.

Read the full statement regarding Neal Casal’s absence below:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our brother Neal Casal will not be with us on a handful of upcoming shows. Our great friend Greg Loiacono will be stepping in during Neal’s absence. We look forward to seeing our CRB freak family in the coming weeks!

We wish Neal Casal all the best in this difficult time.
