Rising jam-rock quartet Neighbor has announced the details of its first-ever tour. The Massachusetts-bred outfit will make its trek up and down the East Coast from April 22nd through May 6th.

Co-founded by vocalist/keyboardist Richard James (Pink Talking Fish) and guitarist Lyle Brewer, the band also features Dean Johnston on drums and Dan Kelly (The New Motif) on bass. Neighbor made its bones at Somerville, MA, performing weekly at the now-closed Thunder Road. By mid-2021 it had earned a spot at The Peach Music Festival at Scranton, PA’s Montage Mountain and now readies itself for its biggest year to date.

James, Brewer, Johnston, and Kelly will start off at Roanoke, VA’s 5 Points Music Sanctuary on April 22nd before working through the Charleston Pour House in Charleston, SC (4/23); Salvage Station in Asheville, NC for a String Cheese Incident after-show (4/24); and Nashville, TN’s Exit/In (4/28). After returning back to Asheville’s Salvage Station for a Goose after-show on the 29th, the band will make its debut at SweetWater 420 Fest in Atlanta, GA on April 30th. A-Town will get a double dose of Neighbor on the 30th when the band performs an official SweetWater late-night appearance at the nearby Aisle 5. The tour will then end with a slot at Tuck Fest in Charlotte, NC (5/1), followed by a show at Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA (5/6).

“This band has reached this point because of you. It’s the human interaction and word of mouth connection that has built our community of neighbors into something bigger than we’ve ever imagined,” the band wrote in a statement on Facebook. “The Neighbors fan page has been such a pleasant experience to watch as you all welcome new neighbors into the hood and share your favorite music/shows with them. We can’t tell you how much we appreciate you pointing new people in your favorite direction, thank you!!”

“The only way we’re going to be able to reach the next level is if we keep doing what we’re doing, reaching out and spreading the word, being humble and respectful, and telling people that we’re coming their way…. We’ll be sure to continue doing our part by working harder than ever, and doing it bigger and better every single time we have the opportunity to get up on stage. ”

Tickets for all 2022 tour dates are available now via the Neighbor website.
