Neil Young has shared some new details behind the forthcoming studio album from himself alongside Crazy Horse. Initially announced earlier this month, the 10-song album titled Colorado will be Young’s first studio effort alongside Crazy Horse since 2012’s Psychedelic Pill when it arrives on October 25th via Reprise.

In addition to sharing the album’s release date on Friday, Neil Young also confirmed the lineup of players to be featured on the recordings, which includes Young, Nils Lofgren (guitar), Ralph Molina (drums), and Billy Talbot (bass). Fans will note that Lofgren fills in for longtime guitarist Frank Sampedro.

Young also shared a new single set to appear on Colorado with a guitar-heavy track titled “Milky Way”. Listen to the new six-minute recording below.

As shared with Young’s previous announcement, the arrival of the album in late October will also be joined by a documentary about the project titled, Mountaintop Sessions, and directed by C.K. Vollick.

Earlier this month, Young put the majority of his remaining 2019 touring plans on hold to focus on a number of upcoming film projects. Young is still set to perform at Farm Aid 2019 at Wisconsin’s Alpine Valley Music Theatre on September 21st and at the Harvest Moon: A Gathering benefit in Lake Hughes, CA on September 14th.
