The situation at Standing Rock continues to be a tense one, with protesters remaining defiant over the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline through land protected by the Sioux peoples. Neil Young has been outspoken with his support for the Sioux, penning the song “Indian Givers” in solidarity.

Young furthered his support last weekend, when he spent his 71st birthday visiting Standing Rock Reservation. The legendary musician walked through the crowds of protesters with a guitar in hand, proudly performing for the people who have been gathered for so long.
