Earlier this year, it was discovered that Del the Funky Homosapien (Hieroglyphics), Dan the Automator (Gorillaz), and Kid Koala, had finally completed the follow-up to 2000′s epic hip-hop concept album Deltron 3030 – which took place in the year 3030 and tells of the fight between Deltron Zero’s fight against huge evil corporations that rule the universe.  The new album, titled Event II is years in the making, and has been confirmed by all artists to have been worked on and near completion since 2004, yet with no real details until earlier this year.

The second single, “City Rising From The Ashes”, was released on June 20th, and more details regarding the album have surfaced today. “Pay The Price” was the first single, but was only available for 24 hours. Event II boasts an impressive list of cameos ranging from Gorillaz cohort Damon Albarn, Rage Against the Machine’s Zack de la Rocha, Faith No More’s Mike Patton, The Lonely Island, and Emily Wells.

Also making appearances on the new Deltron 3030 album (in what capacity, it is not yet known) are actors David Cross, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Amber Tamblyn, and celebrity chef David Chang.  If there is one thing that Del the Funky Homosapien is known for, it is for keeping things interesting as one of the more eclectic artists in the music scene today.

Event II is set for a release date of October 1st, but will be preceded by the City Rising From The Ashes EP on August 13th.  This is an album that is sure to be one of the biggest releases of the year.  Check out the OfficialDeltron.com site for more details.
