New Orleans Supergroup To Play Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well Pre-Show

Yet another show has been added surrounding the Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well Chicago run this July! On Thursday, July 2nd, the night before GD50 kicks off, a slew of New Orleans staples will band together for a pre-party hosted by NOLA’s WWOZ and the Dead’s Mickey Hart.

“Busted On Bourbon Street: A Journey To New Orleans” will feature talent from Ivan Neville, Papa Mali, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Tony Hall, Willie Green, and Marc ‘Buddha’ Balsam. The pre-show is part of Silver Wrapper’s Music Never Stopped concert series, which includes shows from Particle, The Werks/RAQ, a Dead set from Thievery Corporation and Beats Antique and many more.

The group will take the stage at Metro to kick off the weekend on 7/2 at 9 PM. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, 5/15.
