Bestival has long been considered one of the most impressive festivals in the UK and even the world, with past headliners including Elton John, Stevie Wonder, The Cure and many more. Now, after 10 years of existence overseas, festival founder Rob Da Bank has announced plans to launch offshoots in America and other parts of Europe.

Not many details have been released just yet, but Da Bank explained in The Telegraph:

“The deal has been a long time coming. I’ve never been in this industry for the money but now I’m 40 with three small kids, it’s time to get business minded … We’ve made a real impression on the festival market and pioneered a lot of ideas … People think Bestival pours multi-millions into my bank account every year and it doesn’t. That’s not a sob story but now it’s time to knuckle down a bit. My twenties and thirties were a total laugh but now I have to be responsible.”

The festival is held annually on the Isle of Wright and averages about 50,000 attendees. This year will take place September 4-7 with an impressive lineup that includes OutKast, Beck, Disclosure, Sam Smith and more.
