Slightly Stoopid, along with several great bands, are bringing their laid-back grooves to the Now Sapphire Resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, for four nights of tropical musical mayhem. Dubbed “Closer to the Sun,” from December 16-20, you can join Slightly Stoopid, as well as Dirty Heads, Steel Pulse, G. Love & Special Sauce, and Citizen Cope, for sandy beaches and great music.

The festivities were arranged by Cloud 9 Entertainment, responsible for several other “destination-concerts” as well. In addition to two performances by each band, and three by Slightly Stoopid, the all-inclusive packages will include interactive activities with the band, jam sessions, pre-show BBQs, and more. Not to mention the beautiful South-Mexican beaches, primed for a luxurious vacation.

Rumor has it that many special guests will be joining Stoopid as well, including one Karl Denson. As if the lineup wasn’t enough motivation to go

Tickets go on sale next Tuesday, June 17th at 2 PM. A $250 per person deposit will reserve a room, which will ultimately cost $1299 per person, or $1699 per person for an oceanside view. You can get more information through the official Closer to the Sun website.

Meanwhile, Slightly Stoopid is in the midst of an extensive summer tour, including appearances at Bonnaroo, South Park Music Festival, Gathering of the Vibes Festival, and many more.
