Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets will return to North American shores for The Echoes Tour 2022 early next year. Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason will bring his exploration of the band’s early catalog to 26 major cities in the U.S. and Canada beginning in January 2022.
The tour begins on January 18th at Massey Hall in Toronto, ON. Major stops on the U.S. docket include dates at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY (1/24); the Beacon Theatre in New York, NY (1/28); The Anthem in Washington, D.C. (1/30); the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL (2/4); the Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee, WI (2/6); the Paramount Theatre in Denver, CO (2/15); The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA (2/18); the Fox Theatre in Oakland, CA (2/24); and more before wrapping at The Orpheum in Vancouver, BC (2/28).
“We enjoyed our 2019 tour in America so much,” says Nick Mason. “We’re happy to be back at it and playing Pink Floyd music fans may have never had the chance to experience live.”
Formed in 2018, Mason convened the group as a way of introducing younger audiences to the earlier music of Pink Floyd. The band focuses on the band’s music pre-Dark Side of the Moon, beginning with the first album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, and delving into such rarities as the soundtrack to the film More, and giving proper credit to Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett. The group is named for Floyd’s 1968 sophomore album and consists of Mason, guitarist Gary Kemp (Spandau Ballet), bassist Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd), guitarist Lee Harris, and keyboardist Dom Beken.
