The Nth Power drummer Nikki Glaspie and keyboardist/vocalist Nigel Hall, who currently plays with Lettuce, have joined forces with guitarist Kat Dyson (Prince) and bassist Matt Lapham (Roosevelt Collier Trio) for a new project named KAMANI. The new quartet will strut their stuff on a forthcoming fall tour of socially-distant performances scheduled for next month.
The week-long run of shows will take the new band across the southeast U.S. beginning with a show at the Charleston Pour House in Charleston, SC on November 10th. The tour will continue with performances at the 1904 Music Hall in Jacksonville, FL (11/11); Guanabanas in Jupiter, FL (11/12); The New Standard in Winter Park, FL (11/13); Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton, FL (11/14); and wraps with a show at Dunedin Brewery in Dunedin, FL (11/15)–which is already sold out. Tickets are available via the individual venue websites.
The Nth Power reunited (virtually) earlier this year to help raise money for righteous causes with performances on Justice Comes Alive and Democracy Comes Alive.
