Nine Inch Nails will fill in for Foo Fighters at Boston Calling and Welcome To Rockville after the latter band canceled all tour dates following drummer Taylor Hawkins‘ death.
NIN will now headline Boston Calling on Friday, May 27th, joining fellow top acts The Strokes and Metallica. The opening day of the festival will feature RÜFÜS DU SOL, HAIM, Avril Lavigne, Cheap Trick, and more.
Over at Welcome To Rockville, Nine Inch Nails will assimilate into the loaded four-day lineup on Sunday, May 22nd, and join festival headliners KISS, Korn, Megadeath, Papa Roach, Guns N’ Roses, The Smashing Pumpkins, and more. The Trent Reznor-fronted industrial-rock band will close out the festival on Sunday with The Smashing Pumpkins, Jane’s Addiction, Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, The Struts, and more.

These new dates add to the band’s summer tour, which also includes sets at Larger Than Life, Primavera Sound LA, and Shaky Knees, in addition to a number of headlining dates. Nine Inch Nails will release a limited quantity of tickets for sold-out shows in Raleigh, NC (4/28); Morrison, CO (9/2, 9/3); Bend, OR (9/9); and Berkeley, CA (9/21) via Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan Program this Friday, April 8th at 12 p.m. local venue time.
