Northern Nights Music Festival has shared the initial lineup for its 10th anniversary, set to take place July 14th–16th at Piercy, CA’s Cook’s Valley Campground in Northern California’s iconic Redwood Forest. Among the top-billed artists are Big Gigantic, G Jones, Mura Masa, TOKiMONSTA, and Dr. Fresch. The festival will also be the first to create a special even-specific cannabis strain, grown locally in the fertile crescent of the Emerald Triangle.
Northern Nights has developed a reputation in recent years as an innovator when it comes to integrating legal cannabis offerings into the music festival experience. In 2019, Northern Nights became the first music festival to have legal onsite cannabis sales and consumption, and in 2022, they became the first music festival to have dispensaries located at stages and the first with multiple onsite dispensaries.
This year the festival continues that tradition by becoming the first music festival to create its own in-house cannabis strain. The “Northern Nights” strain, not to be confused with the popular “Northern Lights” strain, was developed in collaboration with world-renowned breeder Humboldt Seed Company. The festival will be the only place to purchase and consume the limited batch strain, with seeds and samples available at the festival’s farmers market.
The Tree Lounge cannabis consumption area will once again host the industry’s premier cannabis brands, medicated experiences, yoga and wellness programming, and more in a new, central location.
Also included among the initial Northern Nights 2023 artist lineup are Bipolar Sunshine, Coco & Breezy, Nala, Elephant Heart, Night Tales, Daily Bread, Mary Droppinz, Random Rab, and more.
