Osees have released a live cut of “Voice In The Mirror” ahead of their upcoming webcast from Big Sur, CA. Also stylized as Oh SeesThee Oh SeesThe Ohsees, and many more, the Jack Dwyre-led project will air their performance from Henry Miller Library in the mountainous California region on December 19th at 9 p.m. ET.

This stream follows the genre-blending indie-psych-punk outfit’s Levitation livestream from back in September. The Big Sur stream will see the band take on a whole new list of songs, including some tracks that have never seen the lights of the stage.

Dwyer said in a statement announcing the stream,

We’ve dipped deep into the dark waters of our song-sack of holding and found several more never-before-performed-live tunes & paired them up with some oldies we’ve knocked the dust off of, as well as some fan favorites and general surprises to make the merry very. That’s right, we’ve been paying attention. Recorded from dusk till dawn 2 at the gorgeous Henry Miller Library in Big Sur. Same killer crew, similar killer vibes. An enchanting pre-holiday evening to tell you that we miss and love you. Play it loud and have one on us. And keep your chin up for goodness sake.

“Voice In The Mirror” was originally released on 2009’s Dog Poison, but the added introductory sleigh bells make the song a fitting listen for the impending holiday season. Leaning into that seasonal merriness, Osees perform the song surrounded by Christmas lights—though this is somewhat juxtaposed by their California casual getup in a warm environment. Along with the band’s garage rock presence, “Voice In The Mirror” also features computerized space effects that create a curious blend of low-fi meets supercomputer.

Watch Osees perform “Voice In The Mirror” from their upcoming webcast at the Henry Miller Library. Tickets for the stream—set to air on December 19th at 9 p.m. ET—are available here.
