The 19th annual Nedfest is just around the corner, with the intimate mountain festival boasting an enviable lineup for events many times over its size. Nedfest is set to take place from August 25th through August 27th in Nederland, Colorado, with the event capped at 2,000 people. However, despite its small size, the festival has pulled an all-star bill, featuring legendary Allman Brothers Band and Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge’s Birthday Bash super jam in addition to a number of high-profile acts from Colorado and beyond.

In addition to Burbridge, “Oteil’s Birthday Bash” will feature a slew of other artists in the jam community. Taking the stage at 8 pm on Friday, August 25th, the band will also include guitarists John Kadelick (Dark Star Orchestra, Furthur) and Ian Neville (Dumpstaphunk), drummers Jay Lane (Primus, Furthur, RatDog) and Weedie Braimah (The Nth Power), and vocalists Lyle Divinsky (The Motet) and Alfreda Gerald (London/NY Philharmonic Orchestras, Warren Haynes Band), along with trumpet player Jennifer Hartswick and trombonist Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band). It’s quite the mouthful, and it should be quite the show, making this performance one that will not want to be missed.

Also on the weekend’s lineup are notable Colorado bands including the Kyle Hollingsworth Band, The Motet, Euforquestra, and Vince Herman and Friends. This year’s schedule a few incredible hyper-local bands as well, such as Flash Mountain Flood, Malai Llama, and the Gasoline Lollipops.

Nedfest is an annual rock, bluegrass, and jam-centric outdoor festival in the sleepy mountain town of Nederland, about 30 minutes west of Boulder. Camping is available near Barker Reservoir, which is located a very short walk to and from the festival grounds. Artists and vendors are welcomed, and Colorado microbrews and mead will be on tap along with a variety of food vendors. The full lineup, tickets, and other information can be found at here.
