The Jake Peavy Foundation and Outsiders Presents teamed up this week for the inaugural Outsiders Ball, a two-day collaboration between Peavy, mega-Grateful-Dead-fan and MLB starting pitcher (formerly of the San Francisco Giants, but now a free agent), and Phil Lesh, the Dead’s legendary bassist. The Outsiders Ball took place in Peavy’s hometown of Mobile, AL with a private event on November 21st and a public concert on the 22nd, with all proceeds going to the disaster relief to support individuals and families affected by the recent hurricanes in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean, as well as victims of the Northern California fires. Proceeds will be donated to a variety of organizations via The Jake Peavy Foundation on behalf of Jake and Phil and Jill Lesh.
