Ozzy Osbourne has announced the cancellation of the North American leg for his 2020 No More Tours 2, citing health concerns that have developed over the past year.

The Prince of Darkness revealed his Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis back in January and has been exploring treatment options around the globe in the weeks since.

“I’m so thankful that everyone has been patient because I’ve had a shit year,” Osbourne said in a Facebook post on Monday. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks.”

The canceled 2020 North American tour dates include his show at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA, on May 27th and all other scheduled North American shows through July 31st. “I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans. I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at the time,” he continued. Refunds are available at the original point of purchase and will be returned directly to the credit card used.

The Fall 2020 leg of his No More Tours 2, which begins at Utilita Arena in Newcastle, U.K. on October 23rd, remains as scheduled. He will perform in Europe following promotional obligations for his forthcoming album, Ordinary Man, due out February 21st. Visit his website for tickets and more information.

Update, (2/20/20): Osbourne has since given an update on the recent No More Tours 2 announcement in an interview with Radio.com. The rock n’ roll veteran made sure to clarify that the tour had been postponed, not canceled:

“If I go out now and I can’t carry on, people are gonna think I’ve lost the plot, ya know? So I’m not gonna go out there until I can give them the show that I want to give them, because it’s not fair to them.”
