Coming off another successful Ozzfest this past weekend, Ozzy Osbourne has issued a big announcement: After more than 2500 shows as a solo artist and with Black Sabbath–nearly five decades of biting heads off of bats, pioneering reality TV and the art of the “bleep” as we know it with The Osbournes back in the early 00’s, and generally scaring concerned parents worldwide–the Prince of Darkness is officially hanging it up.

According to an announcement from his camp today, Ozzy will embark on an extensive world tour in 2018 which will mark the final outing of his career. But don’t worry, he’s giving you plenty of notice to get out and say “farewell”–The Ozzman’s final tour reportedly includes dates as far into the future as 2020. For these dates, Ozzy will be joined by longtime collaborators Zakk Wylde (Guitar), Blasko (Bass), Tommy Clufetos (Drums) and Adam Wakeman (Keyboards). As the announcement clarifies, This tour will mark the end of global touring for the legendary artist, though he will continue to perform select live shows.

“People keep asking me when I’m retiring,” Ozzy says. “This will be my final world tour, but I can’t say I won’t do some shows here and there.” The tour will kick off in 2018 with a show in Mexico, before heading to South America for Ozzy solo shows in three countries. Next up is a six-week European leg of headlining solo dates and festival performances that’s set to launch Friday, June 1, 2018 in Moscow, Russia The beloved rock icon will subsequently headline a North American concert tour produced by Live Nation, details of which will be revealed in 2018.
