Papadosio on Friday released a new live album culled from the band’s four-night acoustic run at City Winery in Nashville and Atlanta dubbed Acoustic Live. The concerts took place on February 10th and 11th in Nashville and the 12th and 13th in Atlanta and kicked off the band’s winter/spring tour.

As Papadosio emerged from its home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, NC for some of its first shows of 2022, the quintet opted to ease into the year. The sublime acoustic recordings featured on Acoustic Live feature delicate reimaginings of fan-favorite Papadosio compositions, including “Hippie Babysitter”, “Mr. Turtle’s Cloud Kingdom”, “The Elephant I Presume”, and more. The 11-track live document also hosts deep cuts from 2015’s Extras In A Movie including “We Can Always Come Back” and “Obove”. No songs off the band’s two most recent albums, Microdosio from 2020 and Content Coma from 2018, made the cut, with Dosio instead focusing on time-tested classics.

Papadosio has staged a number of acoustic sets in the past, with many of the intimate engagements occurring at Resonance Music & Arts Festival, which the band hosts annually. In 2022, Resonance will find its new home at Woodlands Nature Preserve in Charleston, SC September 15th–17th. At this year’s festival, which will also feature GooseUmphrey’s McGee, and Lotus (with more to be announced), Papadosio will celebrate the ten-year anniversary of T.E.T.I.O.S. with a full-album telling of the double LP spread across two nights.
