On Saturday night, the jamtronica heavyweights of Papadosio continued onto Indianapolis for the final show of their 2018 spring tour. For their show at the Vogue Theater, the band was supported by jam-band rising star, Aqueous, marking their fourth and final collaborative performance with Papadosio since joining up with the tour on April 25th in Chatanooga, Tennessee—Aqueous and Papadosio also toured together extensively earlier in 2018.

Both bands were in high spirits for the show, with both laying out particularly jam-heavy performances. Aqueous’ three-song opening set, which featured takes on originals “Kitty Chaser”, “Aldehyde”, and “Skyway” appropriately warmed up the crowd, with a slightly harsher and heavier rock focus than Papadosio’s more celestial headlining performance.

For Papadosio, the band kicked things off with an extended rendition of “Advocate”, then moved through older fan favorite “Magreenery” before the song transitioned into “New Love”. A highlight of the night was up next, a new take on “Ear To Ear” (dubbed version 2 by the band), which features Anthony Thogmartin on the vocoder rather than traditional vocals.
