Papadosio and Phutureprimitive’s Shapeshifter Tour 2017 launched this weekend with a run through the Sunshine State. After making stops in Gainesville and Orlando on Wednesday and Thursday, the band settled in to the confines of Fort Lauderdale’s Culture Room on Friday night, September 29th. Opening with a 17+ minute “Threes” off the album Pattern Integrities, band members Mike Healy, Anthony Thogmartin, Rob McConnell, Billy Brouse, and Sam Brouse took the audience on an ethereal excursion through its varied catalogue.

The band progressed into a dance-inducing “If It Wasn’t For You,” followed by the energetically-charged, psychedelic exploration that is “Improbability Blotter” before making their way into the classic “Find Your Cloud” from the album T.E.T.I.O.S. Providing opening act support, Phutureprimitive’s DJ Set offered a mind melting world of sonic bliss.
