Papadosio will perform an all-improvisational set for an upcoming webcast through the Love Serve Remember Foundation, the organization once led by late spiritual icon Ram Dass, who died late last year. The stream, set for August 23rd at 8 p.m. ET, comes as the latest installment in the non-profit’s Soul Land Music Series and will also include a Q&A with the band.

Previous installments in the Soul Land Music Series have included performances from Trevor Hall, Jai Uttal, and SIMIRIT. On Sunday, August 16th the series will host East Forest for the fourth episode.

Fresh off the release of their Microdosio album, the jamtronica mainstays will perform one of their famous improv sets (also known as PA), which will also be infused with the teachings of Ram Dass. Anyone remotely familiar with the works of Papadosio, whether live or in the studio, knows that in the midst of the instrumental exploration that has made them so famous, the group uses samples from intellectual figures such as Terrence McKenna or Ram Dass himself.

“Music always played an important role in Ram Dass’ life,” a statement about the series said. “He thought of music as a portal into what he called ‘Soul Land- The doorway to Spirit.’ During this isolating time of fear and uncertainty, it feels fitting that we both honor Ram Dass and provide our community with a source of solace, inspiration, and connection through music.”

The stream is available for free via the official Ram Dass Instagram page. The Soul Land Music Series also serves as a fundraiser for Das’ Love Serve Remember Foundation. For more information, click here.
