On Wednesday, Parquet Courts began dropping breadcrumbs in the form of Sympathy For Life music videos ahead of the premiere of a full-length visualizer for the band’s new album. Sympathy For Life, Visualized premieres on December 19th at 12 p.m. ET on the band’s YouTube channel.

Both “Marathon of Anger” and “Just Shadows”, similar to the previously-released video for “Walking At A Downtown Pace“, cast the band’s hometown of New York City as the main character. Though largely constructed during the pandemic, Sympathy For Life exists as an ode to the endless possibilities found in The City That Never Sleeps. As COVID ravaged nightlife in the city as well as the rest of the world, the party-tinged ambiance of Parquet Courts’ new album was all the more needed when it arrived back in October.
