Paul Simon is headed back to the islands of Hawaii for his first performances there in over half-a-century.

Announced on Monday, Simon and his band will head to the island of Maui for a pair of performances at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion on August 13th and 14th. Tickets proceeds will support Simon’s biodiversity conservation initiatives through The Auwahi Forest Restoration Project and Kua‘āina Ulu ‘Auamo (KUA).

The two upcoming Hawaii performances act as Simon’s only scheduled performances in 2019 aside from his previously announced headlining appearance at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival come August. Simon closed the book on the touring side of his career with a final performance in his hometown of Queens, NY last September as the last stop on his Homeward Bound — The Farewell Tour.

Tickets for the two Hawaii performances go on sale this Saturday, June 22nd, at 10 a.m. HST. Head to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center website for more info.
