Pavement has added a North American leg to its 2022 reunion tour, which will see the band play the U.S. and Canada throughout September and October. This marks the first reunion tour for Pavement since 2010, which followed an 11-year absence for the band after its last tour in 1999.

The announcement comes several months after Primavera Sound Barcelona revealed its 2022 lineup, including a headlining performance from the California indie-rockers during its first weekend on June 2nd–4th. Primavera Sound had originally booked the band for its 2020 festival, which saw cancellation due to the pandemic.

Members Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich, Scott Kannberg, Steve West, and Mark Ibold will kick off the tour in their home state of California with six shows over eight nights. The band will start in San Diego (9/7), followed by two shows in Los Angeles (9/9–9/10), and finally a three-night stand at The Masonic in San Francisco (9/12–9/14). From there, Pavement will head up through Oregon and Washington before stops in Colorado and Missouri take the tour up through the Midwest.

A stop up in Toronto, ON on September 26th will jump-start the East Coast leg of the tour, setting up shows in Boston, MA (9/28); Brooklyn, NY (9/30–10/2); Philadelphia, PA (10/5); Washington, D.C. (10/6); and Atlanta, GA (10/8–10/9). The band will make one more stop before heading off to Europe, this time in Austin, TX (10/11) for a performance at ACL Live at The Moody Theater.
