Pearl Jam has announced a one-night-only global listening event for the band’s forthcoming album, Gigaton. Dubbed “The Gigaton Listening Experience,” over 200 theaters across the globe will experience full playback of the entire LP in Dolby Atmos on March 25th, two days before the scheduled March 27th release.

In collaboration with Abramorama, theaters in North America, the U.K., Europe, and Australia will play the album’s audio in conjunction with visuals from Evolve, the company that produced the music video for Gigaton‘s lead single, “Dance of the Clairvoyants”.

“It’s truly a unique way to experience this album,” said Gigaton producer Josh Evans in a statement. “I’m excited for fans to be able to immerse themselves in the sound and to hear the depth and layers of these songs and performances.”

The listening event is not the only creative promotional strategy Pearl Jam has employed to promote Gigaton. After announcing the band’s first studio effort since 2013’s Lightning Bolt and releasing the album’s first single, “Dance of the Clairvoyants”, conventionally, Pearl Jam debuted another song, “River Cross”, as part of a Verizon Super Bowl commercial. Then, following the announcement of a special performance at the Apollo Theatre in New York, NY, on March 26th for SiriusXM and Pandora listeners, the band released its latest single, “Superblood Wolfmoon” via an augmented reality app.

Tickets for select theaters in the U.S. are on sale now, while the rest will follow over the coming days.
