The “People Supporting Artists Telethon” will air live on Saturday, April 11th at 7 p.m. ET from Nashville, TN’s H.O.M.E. Studios and feature local Nashville radio DJs Eric Marcum (WSM) and Annie Klaver (Lightning 100) sharing co-hosting duties. In addition to supporting MusiCares’ COVID-19 Relief Fund, the evening will also mark the launch of a new nonprofit organization, People Supporting Artists, which aims to provide independent artists with grants for recording and touring. Spearheaded by Jamie Kent, who is also on the lineup, the organization is planning for the future at point when the music industry is ready to rebuild.

“We’d love to grow enough to be positioned to help artists year round, not just when there’s a crisis,” Kent said. “But in times of crisis, like today, PSA will create events like this Telethon to rally funds behind other nonprofits best positioned to help. In this case, that’s the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.”

In addition to the laundry list of performers, the PSA Telethon will also feature skits and personal stories from those who have benefitted from MusiCares. Check out a trailer for the “People Supporting Artists Telethon” below, and tune in on April 11th at 7 p.m. ET for the full broadcast.
