The Peter Frampton Band has released a wholesome new video that chronicles Frampton’s year in lockdown with their their cover of the George Harrison classic, “Isn’t It A Pity”. The track is set to appear on Frampton’s forthcoming instrumental covers album, Frampton Forgets The Words, out Friday, April 23rd via UMe.

In the video, directed by Rob Arthur, the guitarist goes through the various stages of the lockdown blues, from his European tour being canceled to the ensuing homebound boredom to rolling around on the floor, to finally pushing through and making the best of it. In the end, it’s his family and his positive outlook that sees him through.

“‘Isn’t It A Pity’ from George’s album ‘All Things Must Pass’, was the track I could hear playing when I first arrived at Abbey Road to record,” Frampton explains in a press release. Of the video, which begins with footage from Frampton’s Farewell Tour in 2019, he furthers, “We have all been in the same boat for over a year now. Our video lets you into my world of lockdown and possibly yours too. I think we can all relate.”
