Saturday’s LOCKN’ introduced the highly anticipated first set from Phil Lesh & Friends. The only member of the Grateful Dead on the festival site, the bassist held it down strong with an exceptional cast of characters, including: drummer Jon Fishman and key-master Page McConnell of Phish, drummer Joe Russo, guitarist Anders Osborne, and virtually all of The Infamous Stringdusters. 

The set included Dead favorites “Scarlet Begonias”, “Uncle John’s Band”, “Shakedown Street” and a heavy-hitting “Terrapin Station” to close things out. Fans were treated to husband and wife Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi for “Mr. Charlie” and “Sugaree”. You can listen to the full set below, courtesy of taper quinfolk:
