On Friday night, Phil Lesh played his third and final night at The Capitol Theatre for his 77th birthday celebration. His “Friends” for the weekend, vocalist Joan Osborne, guitarists Stanley Jordan and John Kadlecik, keyboardist Jason Crosby, and drummer Mark Levy, showed great strength by their third night together as a band – to the delight of all those who helped make the sold-out run such a great success.

The Grateful Dead bassist stuck plenty to his own catalogue, while also introducing covers of “Dear Mr. Fantasy” by Traffic, “All Along the Watchtower” by Bob Dylan, and “Little Wing” by Jimi Hendrix to the mix.
